A project combining designers from all over the Arab world under the umbrella of 'Tasmim Fi Cirta'. A workshop was held in the breathtaking city of Constantine, Algeria, also known as the city of bridges.
We set to work alongside inspiring designers from Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, and Iraq, with the yellows representing Egypt.
Designers were asked to inspire from the City of Bridges and come up with the aid of their unique backgrounds, influenced by their own views, to use copper and help it shine as a material. The goal of the project is to use the talents of the craftsmen in Algeria, to utilise their skills through new designs.
The designs were then produced in Algeria, and exhibited as part the year long event: Constantine, the Capital of Arab culture, to revive the coppersmiths in Constantine, Algeria starting October 2015.
